Solihull Community Housing is an Arm’s Length Management Organisation (ALMO) responsible for managing the property portfolio, customers and surrounding estates on behalf of Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council (SMBC).
Reporting to the Safer Homes Contract Officer, you will work as part of a team responsible for the management of asbestos and the relevant administration associated to ensure compliance to current regulations and to ensure the safety of our staff, contractors and customers.
Technical competency and a good grasp of Health and Safety are pre-requisites for the post. The role is a busy one, so the ability to prioritise and manage stress are key skills for the role as is providing a high quality customer service both on an individual and corporate basis.
With demonstrable experience of working with asbestos either in the social housing or commercial property sector, the ideal candidate will need to possess the relevant training and qualifications, and be able to demonstrate competency within this area of works.
