Teaching Assistant (Additional Needs 1:1) – Grade 5

St Chad’s C.E (C) Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who has high expectations of themselves and pupils and can demonstrate highly effective support to teaching and learning for 1 pupil with Special Educational Needs. We are looking for someone who has experience of working with children who have speech and language difficulties, someone familiar with interventions relating to both SEND and behaviour and someone with a knowledge of the 4 areas of the SEND Code of Practice. We are also looking for someone who can uphold our distinctive Christian values and ethos and help us to ‘build together with Jesus for a better future.’

We are looking for candidates who will:

• Have experience of working with SEND pupils and 1:1 support Work closely with the SENDCO to tailor learning to the needs of our pupils Be committed to promoting and upholding our Christian values. Have high expectations of their own performance and embrace growth Consistently deliver high quality support to teaching and learning Have an experience of working across a range of Key Stages Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning Nurture our children and understand the need for a holistic approach to education Work in partnership with our whole community Fully participate in all aspects of school life Fully embrace and model our school values of: kindness, respect, belonging, honesty, commitment, independence and empathy
