Salary: Grade 6 (SCP 20-25) range £22,646-£25,770 per annum (pro-rata salary shown)

Total hours per week: 37

Weeks per year: 39 (term-time plus  5 training days)

Contract type: Permanent (subject to 6 months probationary period)

We are looking for an outstanding Lead Attendance Officer to provide a specialist service to help the academy to raise achievement by improving academy attendance and punctuality.  We are seeking to employ staff who have a thirst to develop young people and build teams committed to academic and pastoral success. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in influencing positive learning outcomes for our students.

You must have previous experience of working to improve attendance in a school environment and have a solid understanding of SIMS system.  You must be able to not only work effectively within a team but also have the ability to drive and motivate others to achieve success for our students.

Qualifications required

To be considered for the post you must have achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade A to C (or equivalent) passes in maths and English.

Desirable: 

  • Further education/higher education level qualification
  • Level 3 safeguarding certificate

Requirements: 

  • Excellent knowledge of SIMS system.
  • Excellent communication skills and organisational skills.
  • A relentless approach to raising standards of attendance and punctuality.
