Ocker Hill Infant and Nursery School is situated in Tipton, Sandwell. It is a Two-Form entry Infant School with a nursery offering full time and part time places. The vision for our school is that it provides a safe, stimulating environment where all children are emotionally healthy, successful lifelong learners who contribute positively to society. Our mission is for all children to ‘Develop a love of learning to give them wings.’

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Ocker Hill Infant and Nursery School as a Class Teacher.  The successful candidate must be qualified to teach in both EYFS and KS1.  The year group will be decided on once the position has been offered.  ECT’s are welcome to apply and will receive outstanding support and training to support their development.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a dynamic and caring teacher, able to enthuse and ignite children with a love of learning and improve their life chances using a research based approach.
  • Is fair, loves working with children and is sensitive, patient and kind and the type of teacher our children, staff and community can relate to.
  • Can work well as part of an outstanding team.
  • Has the training and experience of working within both KS1 and EYFS.  (ECT’s are welcome to apply)
  • Has high expectations of children’s attainment, progress, behaviour and personal development.
  • Is willing to participate fully in the curricular and extra-curricular life of the school.​​​​​

Successful shortlisted candidates will have a lesson observation by Senior leaders at Ocker Hill Infant and Nursery School.  Successful candidates will then be invited for an interview.
