We have an exciting opportunity for two Business Improvement Leads to join our team, one on a permanent basis and the other on a 12 months fixed term contract (or secondment) to cover maternity leave.

Solihull Council’s Business Improvement Team is an established and highly regarded team who are at the forefront of change to help deliver vital public services in a forward thinking organisation.

As a Business Improvement Lead you will challenge and support all levels of staff to deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the Council.

You will lead the change initiatives for a number of projects associated with the Council’s priorities and support the Council to manage change programmes, prioritising customer value and providing constructive challenge.

You will lead one or more Business Improvement Officers and will be responsible for their coaching and development.

You will have:

  • A business related degree or systems improvement/change management related qualification
  • Previous experience of implementing complex change initiatives
  • Knowledge and an in depth understanding of continuous improvement, systems thinking and change management methodologies
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with a proven ability to influence and deliver on key projects.
  • Experience of leading teams.

Interviews will be held 22nd June 2022. Candidates successful at this stage will be invited back for a 2nd interview the morning of 23rd June 2022.
