The children and governing body of Old Hill Primary School wish to appoint a new Headteacher.

We can offer the successful candidate happy, motivated children who are a pleasure to teach every day. Our staff thrive on challenge, innovation and creativity whilst having clear and rigorous systems in place to ensure children’s learning remains at the centre of our school vision.

Old Hill is a one form entry primary school in Sandwell. We believe in putting children at the centre of all we do and in providing an education that is exciting, engaging and fun.

Our motto is 'aim higher every day.'  Our school council decided that stronger, clearer values were needed to support what we learn and highlight the attitudes and behaviour we promote and expect from our pupils and staff. Together, we chose:

Appreciation   Perseverance   Respect   Responsibility  Tolerance    Trust

These values are the foundation for successful, confident learners and responsible members of our community.

We are looking for a leader:

  • Who can provide strong strategic leadership to drive school improvement
  • Who is dynamic and can bring their own flair and experience to take us forward
  • Who will ensure continuity whilst seeking to further extend and develop teaching and learning
  • Who can demonstrate a strong leadership experience which will lead to our continuing upward trends in attainment
  • Who can communicate, develop and immerse themselves into our school community

In return we can offer:

  • Children, who enjoy school, have a passion for learning, take the lead in identifying their strengths and next steps and make our school proud.
  • A creative and developed curriculum
  • Highly motivated and professional staff
  • A supportive governing body
  • A supportive parent body
