The Adult & Community Learning Team at Learn Telford provides learning opportunities to adults aged 19+ who live in the Telford area and targets adults who are unemployed, low skilled or disadvantaged. We were judged as a good provider with outstanding features by Ofsted at our last inspection and we strive to provide outstanding learning opportunities to our local communities.

We work hard to help learners progress into further learning or employment when they complete our courses work with a wide range of partners to support this alongside our own directly delivered provision. The courses that we provide are funded by the Skills Funding Agency or Advanced Learner Loans and we offer a broad and innovative curriculum.

We are looking for someone to join our team to cover a period of Adoption Leave of up to a year and also two additional business support officers to work on an ongoing casual basis .You'll provide general administration support within the small Direct Delivery Team of Learn Telford, reporting to the Direct Delivery Team Leader and will be responsible helping to ensure the smooth and effective running of courses. You'll help to support the coordination of direct delivery courses within the service area, in particular our maths, English and ESOL provision.

All posts will support the Team Leaders with administrative tasks and use a range of paper-based and electronic data systems to maintain management information and access data.

The role will also involve responding to learner and tutor enquiries in line with best practice in customer service and liaising with our course tutors, venues and other staff in the wider team.

Do you have experience of working accurately to set deadlines and would like the challenge of working in a small, busy but friendly team in Learn Telford?

You'll need to have level 2 qualifications in English and Maths and be confident in the use of a range of electronic information systems, including internet applications and Microsoft software. You'll need to be able to work flexibly to respond to changing demand and workloads.
