Missing Return Officer

£30,095 - £34,373  (Pro Rota)


We are seeking to appoint a  part time Missing Return Officer to be responsible for ensuring the city has a co-ordinated response to missing children.


The successful candidate will ensure missing return interviews are completed with young people and that this is done in line with statutory guidance. In addition the Missing Return Officer will provide appropriate and specialist advice and guidance to other practitioners about young people who go missing.

The post holder will also have responsibility to assess levels of risk for issues that affect young people e.g. child exploitation, gangs/ youth violence, lack of educational engagement, to ensure effective support is provided in order to improve outcomes


The Missing Return Officer will work effectively and in partnership with key services and agencies to ensure vulnerable young who go missing are monitored and supported in line with statutory guidance.
