Grade C : £19,264 - £20,043 per annum

 

Post Numbers:

CL360 & CL359 – 42.5 Hours per week (March/October), 28.2 Hours per week (November/February)

 

(Both posts paid 37 Hours per week on average)

We are currently looking to recruit two Ride on Mower/Tractor Operatives to join our Grounds Maintenance team here in Cannock. These exciting positions are available within our in house grounds team based in the Cannock/Rugeley area.

 

We are looking for you to be experienced in the use of a wide range of machinery from hand held small equipment , all the way up to tractors with mechanical attachments and you should have knowledge of a wide range of grass cutting machinery in Environmental Maintenance. A large part of this role is daily planning and use of ride on grass cutting machinery, managing a small satellite team working off planned tick sheet information.

 

You should hold an NPTC Level 2 in the Safe Use of Tractor Mounted Mowers and in the Safe Use of Ride-On Self Propelled Mowers or be willing to obtain these qualifications. You should have experience working with ride on grass cutting machinery and be willing to undertake all training once in post. You will also need to hold a full UK Driving Licence, and ideally PA1 & PA6 qualifications.

 

You must have the ability to undertake basic vehicle, plant and machinery daily maintenance and keep daily maintenance records and report any concerns promptly. You must also be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format and be flexible in your approach to working within a team.

 

Having a sound understanding of health and safety, risk assessments and basic first aid and interpersonal skills sufficient to be able to deal with members of the public would also be seen as advantageous.
