About Us and the Role

To reflect our new approach to contract management and quality assurance we are recruiting to roles within the team. This will help us increase our capacity and capability, creating a significant change in how we contract manage and quality assure our commissioned provision. We are looking for people who have a passion for improving services, an eye for detail and an inquiring mind - looking beyond face value and able to build a robust picture of the quality of service delivery from a diverse range of sources.  These roles will specifically cover Transport operations across all aspects of Education and Learning, with over 150 suppliers making twice daily trips across the County.

In each post there will be a defined profile of work, matched by a culture of using our skills, knowledge and experience where they can be most helpful. Successful candidates will have carefully managed workloads and the right support so you can always deliver to the best of your ability.

As a Quality and Contract Monitoring Officer you will work alongside Contract Management Officers to ensure that commissioned services are safe, cost effective, good quality and lead to the desired outcomes for the people they support. Your work will also include developing relationships and working with key partners such as DVLA, DVSA, Police etc.

You will develop an understanding of the contractual and quality standards that are expected of commissioned services and of the market in which they operate.  A key part of the role will be to develop positive working relationships with key stakeholders including service providers and commissioners, to maintain the standards WCC expects, ensure that quality and best value is achieved in all areas.
