About the role 

Following the promotion of our current Deputy Headteacher, we are seeking to appoint a talented, dedicated and inspirational Deputy Headteacher to support, sustain and help develop the school’s ethos and strategic direction. The successful candidate will work in close partnership with the Headteacher, Trust partners, members of the school community and those responsible for governance to maintain a culture where pupils experience a positive and enriching school life.

 

We are looking for someone who:

• Has outstanding teaching ability

• Has experience of teaching and leading across the primary age range including Upper Key Stage Two.

• A willingness to continually develop their skills with a desire for future headship 

• Has evidence of continuing professional development, including for example Future Leaders, NPQ’s etc

• Substantial experience of successfully managing initiatives relevant to the role, as set out in the job description and person specification

• Can fulfil the professional responsibilities of a Headteacher, as set out in the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD)

• Works in a way, which abides to the school values of Excellence, Resilience, Nurturing, Fairness and Partnership

• Embraces the vision “Nurturing Hearts, Inspiring Minds, Shaping Futures” and devotedly helps all students achieve this

 

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, take on the responsibility for providing a safe environment and promoting children’s welfare, undertake regular safeguarding and child protection training and, familiarise themselves with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
