Job Details

This an exciting time to be joining Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council as the three existing Early Years’ teams have become an Integrated Early Years’ Service.

Hours = Full time proportion

Salary = Teachers Pay Range (£25,714 - £41,064) + SEN payment + TLR £4784

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, inclusive and forward-thinking specialist Early Years teacher to raise achievement, have high aspirations for Dudley’s youngest children to ensure every child reaches their potential.

You will be based within Brockmoor Specialist Nursery and will lead and manage a committed, enthusiastic, well established and experienced team.

You will support  the delivery of consistent ‘Quality First’ teaching and learning for all children within the nursery with a creative and flexible approach to curriculum delivery. You will have extensive knowledge and skills as to how to support children with differing levels of development. You will lead best practice to provide a role model for all. You will monitor and when required challenge the pedagogy for learning and development for the children within your care.

You will thoroughly embed the assess, plan, do, review cycle to support the SEND graduated approach. Along with the team you will be responsible for ensuring children’s learning journeys are kept up to date and will use your existing knowledge to support when appropriate requests for statutory assessments. You will fully embrace the ‘team around the child’ and ‘team around the family’ approach.

Your personal qualities will support your ability to build good relationships with parents / carers and a wide range of outside services / agencies.

As an integral part to Integrated Early Years’ Service you will be able to offer specialist advice and training for colleagues within Dudley’s Early Years and SEND teams and for Early Years settings across the borough.

You must be committed to inclusive practice, organised, passionate, enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude and be fully committed to raising the outcomes for Dudley’s children.
