An excellent opportunity has arisen to work in Occupational Therapy Access and Prevention Team. We are looking to recruit two permanent Occupational Therapist under Quick Response Team. Your role will be assessing people who have a disability or illness that affects everyday living. You will make recommendations for equipment and adaptations to promote independence and wellbeing to enable people to live within the community.
Aim: To complete effective and timely screening of all Occupational Therapy referrals which may involve complete telephone assessment, same day visits, provision of equipment’s and signposting to ensure patients are safe in their home environment.
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: Grade 8
Location: Brierley Hill Health & Social Care Centre, Venture Way, Brierley Hill.
We are seeking Occupational Therapists who are proactive in their approach, open to change and enjoy the challenge of influencing and implementing new ways of working. You will be supporting Occupational Therapy Quick response team by duty screening, remote assessment, same day duty visits, equipment assessment and provision. You will support the team with this development and demonstrate the value of OT in your practice. You will receive ongoing support and supervision from a Duty Senior Occupational Therapist and whole range of training opportunities from the service.
We welcome applications from newly qualified OTs and those returning to practice. The successful candidate must be able to make effective and efficient travel arrangements around the Dudley Borough and be a Qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC is essential.
