SENDco (Full or Part time)

The rate of pay will be Grade MPS / UPS + TLR 1.1

 

Governors are seeking applications for an experienced SENDco to start as soon as possible.  This post can be full or part-time (min 0.5FTE SENDco) with applications welcomed from suitably qualified teachers in any subject discipline.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, well qualified and experienced SENDco to join our supportive Special Needs Department. The successful applicant will be expected to lead SEND support and provision within the school, have QTS and teach at all levels. This is a great opportunity to teach motivated students and be part of an enthusiastic SEND team.

Candidates should be:

  • Experience of the SENDCo role and preferably hold Level 7 National Award for SENDCo.
  • Have A good understanding of Autism and children with high support needs
  • You will be an experienced QTS practitioner with a strong background in working with children with SEN.
  • Committed to ensuring SEND students excel both personally and academically.
  • Knowledge and experience of managing successful processes, such as EHCP application and Annual Reviews with external agencies and the LA as appropriate
  • The ability to deliver positive outcomes for students, solving problems and remaining instinctively optimistic, while working creatively within constraints and limitations
