We have a vacancy due to the retirement of our Senior Learning Support Practitioner and are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated person to work with babies and families from the point of diagnosis and to facilitate the successful inclusion of deaf Children and Young People in Walsall’s early years settings, schools and college.
The successful candidate will be able to: -
- Plan for and deliver our weekly specialist language playgroup for deaf babies and preschool children and their parents / carers
- Work well as a team member and liaise with a range of professionals
- Communicate with children of all ages and all levels of deafness
- Support teaching by explaining and adapting tasks, recording progress and promoting effective use and care of specialist hearing technology.
- Carry out reasonable similar duties commensurate with the general character and grading of the post.
