Assistant Caretaker

Location:     Lickey Hills Primary School and Nursery

Job Term:  Permanent, Term time only.

Job Hours:   20 hours per week – 2.15pm-6.15pm

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to join our Site manager and his team to provide a key role in maintaining our school site and ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community. 

Key accountabilities:

• To lock the school at 6.15pm each day To undertake the use and maintenance of plant supplies and equipment as directed by the Site Manager To have experience of DIY - an ability to undertake minor repairs, general maintenance and possess decorating skills – occasionally working at height. To undertake cleaning duties when necessary To immediately clear up any hazards to pupils and staff To operate the heating system as directed To operate any fire, burglar alarms as directed To undertake porterage duties as required To set out and clear away tables and chairs in school halls To keep the grounds tidy To attend training courses, including Health and Safety To undertake lettings as agreed with the Site Manager
