Job Details

At Brookhurst Primary we are looking for enthusiastic, caring and cooperative additions to our Teaching Assistant Team. At Brookhurst our mission is to instil a lifelong love of learning, resilience, respect and sense of emotional safety in all the children in our care. We are looking for someone with a willingness to learn to come and join our amazing and dedicated team.

We have 2 vacancies available. One vacancy will be class based, offering in class, small group or individual support to class teachers, as well as covering intervention groups.

The second vacancy will be more SEN based, working with a variety of children on a 1-1 basis.

The ideal candidate will have, as a minimum, NVQ level 2, and an interest in helping children achieve their best.

The hours of work will be 32.5 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.00pm Monday - Friday term time (including INSET days).

At lunchtime you would then join our team of lunchtime supervisors to assist in the supervision of the children within the dining hall or on the playground. The hours of work for this will be 2.5 hours per week, between 12.00pm to 1.30pm Monday to Friday.

Please note that these hours are flexible for the right candidate.

We have a before and after school club onsite, which also runs during school holidays, and we may be able to have flexibility on working hours before and after (from 7.50am until 6.00pm). We can also offer some hours during school holidays. This may be suitable for a job share. Please contact the school if this is something you may be interested in, or mention it in your application.

Completed applications need to be emailed to admin2330@welearn365.com
For any queries, please contact the school office on 01926 420051.

Brookhurst is a popular forward looking school, offering children a stimulating learning experience. The school is well equipped and benefits from extensive, creatively developed grounds.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure.
