REVENUES OFFICER
Redditch Borough Council
Grade 4 – Grade 5 (SCP 9 – 19)
£21,268 - £25,926 per annum (pro rata if part time) - Career Graded
37 hours per week
We are looking for a Revenue Officer to join our friendly, supportive team.
The post holder will be responsible for the administration and collection of Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates which will include determining liability for Council Tax/Non-Domestic Rates; processing applications for discounts, reductions or reliefs; dealing with changes in circumstances; and taking appropriate action to recover funds. You will also be providing advice, explanation, and helping with general queries from both internal and external stakeholders which is an important part of this role.
Knowledge and experience of the Civica Open Revenues would be an advantage, as would experience of working in a customer focused environment dealing with high volumes of customer enquiries or negotiating the payment of debts.
The ideal candidate will be committed to quality service delivery, accuracy and be flexible in their approach. The majority of the day-to-day working will be home based. However, you will be required to be available to attend the office when required.
