Fire Leadership Team Support Officer 

Full Time - 37 hours per week or Part Time (minimum of 21 hours per week) Permanent  
Location: Service Headquarters, Warwick Street, Leamington Spa 

Salary: £22,571 - £24,920 per annum (Full time)

As part of the Fire Leadership Support Team, you will be providing high level support to the Fire Leadership Team (FLT) who are responsible for successfully delivering the WFRS Strategy and the Community Risk Management Plan which identify the main risks in our area, shows how we use prevention, protection, and response activities to prevent fires and other incidents, mitigate the effects of risks on its communities, and outline how resources are allocated. 

Our Strategy shapes our future direction ensuring that we remain, sustainable, efficient, effective and people and risk focused. 

This role comes with a great deal of responsibility, variety and an opportunity to understand our business in its entirety within our hardworking team. This would include supporting elements of our emergency response as a loggist at Strategic Command Group Meetings (full training will be provided). 

The successful candidate will: 

  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have experience in working with Microsoft packages, eg. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook Emails
  • Produce high-level diary management and efficient co-ordination of meetings to ensure the FLT can effectively balance their extensive workloads
  • Be able to take comprehensive minutes and follow-up on actions/other deliverables as necessary and assigned.
  • Be an integral part of a close team and providing support and cover for the PA to the Chief Fire Officer.
  • Be an effective representative for Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service and promote a positive image of the organisation by following and demonstrating the NFCC Core Code of Ethics and the WCC Values and Behaviours.
