Job Details
This role is a fixed term contract until 31 March 2023.
Sandwell Valley Country Park and Lightwoods House and Park have tens of thousands of visitors a year. We also have other Pavilions in parks that have the ability to host community events, education related events, and other events activity. Working as part of the events team, and alongside colleagues at Sandwell Valley, Lightwoods House, and in green spaces, this new role will design and deliver a programme of events for our visitors – both free and charged events – and events that help to attract new visitors and create memorable experiences. You will also work with our Lightwoods House Coordinator to develop and expand our wedding and event booking offering at several wedding locations in Sandwell.
You will be:
- Experienced in event design, delivery, and onsite event management.
- Innovative and creative in your thinking, learning from best practice.
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders, and matrix management arrangements.
- Knowledgeable in commercial matters, including working to budget, increasing income from events, and working with commercial partners on events.
- Experience of working with community groups.
- Passionate about Sandwell residents and delivering an exiting and engaging programme of events to enhance our visitor experience.
You will have:
- Educated to degree level, or equivalent experience in events.
- Experience and knowledge of event management and events best practice.
- Desirable: knowledge of wedding venue offerings.
- Personal Licence holder

37 hours per week
