The Role

Worcestershire County Council’s Growth and Investment Team runs a number of projects to support businesses to start, innovate, grow and expand and supports economic growth in Worcestershire's small and medium sized enterprises.

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Enterprising Worcestershire Programme. This well-known and established programme provides support for pre-starts, early stage and high growth start-up businesses and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

The successful applicant will manage a varied workload including procuring and managing service providers, budget management, working with a range of partners, managing the project to deliver the agreed outputs, outcomes and benefits in line with the delivery plan and ensuring compliance with ERDF funding requirements.

If you have project management experience, including delivering and managing publicly funded projects and an appreciation of issues affecting start-up and early stage businesses, this could be the job for you.

As part of a supportive team, you will report to the Business Growth Programme Manager and will work alongside colleagues delivering information, business support projects and grant funding as part of the wider growth, investment and clean growth offer.

The post is fixed term until 30th June 2023. It is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. For more information on European funding visit https://www.gov.uk/european-growth-funding
