Required from September 2022 (subject to satisfactory clearance checks) - Grade 3 Teaching Assistant to assist in Early Years

The Governors of St Matthias CE Primary School are looking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic Grade 3 Teaching Assistant to support our Early Years Team from September 2022. This is an exciting opportunity as the school is thriving and continuing to improve teaching, learning, and outcomes for children.                                                                                                             

The successful candidate will;

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner
  • Have the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and parents
  • Be sensitive to the needs of individual learners and promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
  • Be enthusiastic and determined to make learning fun and purposeful
  • Be passionate about good teaching and learning Have relevant qualifications
  • Attend to personal needs and develop pupils’ social, health and hygiene development.
  • Have a sound knowledge of Early Years practice and working with children with Special Educational Needs
  • An awareness and willingness to become aware of the EYFS curriculum is essential including phonics
  • Be knowledgeable about the SEN Code of Practice
  • Be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Paediatric First Aid trained or willing to complete training
