Job Details

Langley Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic classroom teacher to join the school from the start of the Autumn term in September. The post will be initially in KS1, with experience in Year 2 preferable but not necessary.

This vacancy is not suitable for Early Career Teachers. Please note you have to be able to start in September for the start of the school year.

The school has 450 pupils and extensive grounds including fields and a forest area. The classrooms are well equipped with interactive TVs and teachers have laptops and IPads to help them with their work. We are situated 2 minutes from Junction 2 on the M5 so are easy to get to.

The school is graded Good and results before the pandemic were above the national average at KS1, KS2 and the Phonics Check. Behaviour is excellent and there have been no exclusions or managed moves for over 10 years. The school uses a coaching approach to behaviour management which helps the children understand their behaviour and know what to do next time. The school is highly inclusive, both in terms of working with children who have significant additional needs and a wide range of cultures and languages. This is a good chance to learn how to work with a very wide range of needs and backgrounds in a supportive context.

Relationships between the school and families are strong and disputes with families are extremely rare.  We offer a full service of family support and Early Help within the school (including access to our own child and adult counsellors).

We would be committed to your progression and career, but we expect you to show a similar commitment to your professional development and to the children themselves. We expect high standards and hard work and a commitment to the inclusive and family orientated philosophy we have. PPA is done with a year group colleague one day every 2 weeks. At this time the class is taught by a PE coach and a Spanish teacher. If you are on the Upper Pay Range you will be expected to lead on a curriculum area. The school offers teachers a supportive context to work within, including some paid access to days for family emergencies and a wide range of support and counselling services.

You are welcome to visit the school and have a look around. If you would like to do this, please ring the Office on 01215521744.
