About us and the Role

As a Contract Management Officer you will have a defined portfolio of contracts which you will have lead responsibility for, within which you will work closely with commissioners and service managers to support them in their contract management duties.  A key element of your role will be to ensure that the corporate Contract Management Framework is applied across all contracts, and you will understand that the best way to do this is through developing effective relationships.

You will rapidly develop an understanding of both the performance of your contracts and of the market in which they operate.  Using this knowledge you will develop positive working relationships with our suppliers and providers, ensuring best value is achieved in all areas by identifying where changes can be made to achieve this.

In this role advertised role you will be responsible for a number of work areas around Fleet Maintenance, working closely with colleagues based in the our CFM and wider Council teams.  You will consider the current position and identify any routes to cost reduction across the whole Council.
