Permanent 32.5 hours; Early Years Nursery / Reception to start 5th September 2022

Teaching Assistants required must have relevant Early years qualifications.

 

Level 3 Grade 2, Point 2/3 Term Time Only

 

Birches First School is looking to appoint a highly effective full time Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic and hardworking Birches First School and EYFS Team with effect from September 2022. This role requires you to support the teacher in the delivery of the Early Years Curriculum to our Early Years pupils, working in partnership with parents, teachers and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make excellent progress.


The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Experience of working with children within the EYFS age range
  • Good working knowledge of how children learn and the EYFS curriculum
  • Effective organisational and communication skills and be a team player
  • Holds an NVQ2 / 3 qualification or equivalent
  • The ability to be adaptable and creative
  • The ability to make learning fun
  • The ability to support and create opportunities for learning outdoors and indoors
  • Commitment to giving the best to every child
  • The ability to make a significant contribution to the school
  • Excellent knowledge of how phonics is taught and how children learn to read
  • A clear passion and love for working with young pupils
  • Excellent knowledge of curriculum and assessment for EYFS The skills to develop good relationships with parents and the community An understanding of the importance of safeguarding pupils and families

 

Candidates will be required to hold a full and relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or other relevant qualification. All applicants are required to be self-sufficient in using IT and have a good understanding and knowledge of Development Matters.
