Teaching Assistant – SEND

At St Martin’s Multi Academy Trust, we are passionate about education. Our three primary schools, based in Wolverhampton, work collaboratively to share effective practice and deliver a stimulating and relevant curriculum that ensures our children leave our schools as lifelong learners, ready for the next stage of their education. 

 

St Martin’s CE Primary, Field View Primary and Grove Primary are looking to appoint: 

Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistants

35 hours per week, term time only on a fixed term contract until 31 August 2023

St Martin’s MAT Salary Scale Grade 4 Points 8-12 £20,469 - £23,043 pro rata 

Actual Salary £16,525 per annum. 

 

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to join the staff team at St. Martin’s MAT to support pupils with Special Educational Needs / Disabilities (SEND).   

 

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of the SENDCo to implement work programmes with both individuals and groups. Whilst you will assist the teacher in the management and preparation of lessons and resources, children will be at the heart of your work and you must be able to demonstrate that you understand the importance of educating the whole child, that you are committed to supporting individuals to reach their full potential and are prepared to put their needs first.  

 

A flexible approach, resilience, stamina and the ability to work under pressure are essential.  

 

The successful applicant will be expected to complete relevant training as identified by the SENDCo. 

 

All posts are subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure, Barred List Checks, along with other relevant pre-employment checks. Enhanced DBS disclosures will be renewed at least every five years.
