Class Teacher (KS1 or KS2) Hanley St Lukes CE A Primary School

13 hours per week over 2 days

Are you looking for a part time teaching post where your skills and passion for teaching will be valued and nurtured as an integral part of our whole school team? Do you want to be sure that your well-being will be valued and your ongoing professional development encouraged and supported? Then joining our team here at Hanley St Luke’s could be your ideal teaching post. Since our Ofsted inspection in December 2018 we have continued to move forward at pace and are very proud of all our achievements and the amazing children we serve each day. The post would initially be for 2 days in Y6 with the possibility of additional hours to support the needs of the school. First and foremost you must be an excellent classroom practitioner and a great team player. If you have skills or experience in leading Computing that would be beneficial but should not put off candidates whose subject strength lie elsewhere.

Come and see for yourself. We will be delighted to show you around and talk more about the post!

Key Requirements:

  • Have an excellent understanding of the curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment. Believe that all children can achieve within a skilfully delivered mastery curriculum and be able to demonstrate this in practice.
  • Ideally, but not essentially, a personally committed Christian who is an active member of her/his own church (which is recognised by Churches Together in England) and who is committed to applying her/his own faith practically to the Christian mission and ethos of our culturally diverse school.

Hanley St Luke’s CofE (A) Primary School is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people and expects all its employees to share this commitment.  This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
