Dudley Council Apprentices develop professional skills, knowledge and confidence and an opportunity to gain a recognised qualification through its Apprenticeship Programme.
Dudley Council is recognised as the highest recruiter of Apprentices in the Black Country.
An Apprenticeship with Dudley MBC will give you the opportunity to gain 'hands on' experience in the workplace whilst getting paid. The work you undertake in this role will support you towards completing a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service.

This Apprentice opportunity is with Dudley Register Office.
We are a busy frontline service, dealing with many telephone calls, visitors and electronic contacts.
Our staff register the borough’s births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships as well as officiating for around 1000 ceremonies.
Apprentices gain customer contact experience during a placement with us, dealing with a diverse customer base in a demanding first point of contact environment.
You will receive detailed training on registration services within the council in order to issue certificates and work on a busy reception desk booking appointments, answering basic enquiries and signposting more complex matters.
Your main work area will be Dudley Register Office, Priory Hall, Priory Park, Dudley, DY1 4EU.

We are looking for candidates who have:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good IT Skills
- Commitment to further development through training
- Willingness to undertake a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service
- Willingness to work towards Level 2 Functional Skills in Math’s and English
- Willingness to engage in corporate training and service training as appropriate.
Fixed Term Contract for 15 Months. No experience is required as full training will be provided.
