The Talentum Learning Trust, consisting of nine schools including Churnet View Middle School, Leek High School and Westwood College, is set in the beautiful surroundings of the Staffordshire Moorlands. Leek High School is a well-established and successful 13-19 secondary school and shares a joint sixth form with Leek High School.

Position: Teacher of English
Start Date: 1st September 2022
Contract Type: Fixed term with a view to becoming permanent
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Pay: Main Scale

Location: Leek High School; however, you may on occasions be required to cover duties at other schools across the Trust

We are recruiting for a Teacher of English who understands the difference a great education can make to the lives of pupils and who is a positive role model for students and colleagues alike. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality lessons which achieve excellent results for your students, instilling in them a love for the subject and a desire to learn.
We are looking for a practitioner who will inspire and enthuse students, by delivering an ambitious and enriched curriculum. You will provide a nurturing classroom environment that helps pupils develop as learners and thinkers. You will contribute to your department development and ensure that as a team you are committed to raising achievement.
You must be educated to degree level or above and have experience in delivering consistently outstanding lessons to pupils of all ages and abilities. You will need to be a strong team player who demonstrates resilience character and drive.
