Job title: Residential Workers

 

Salary: £22,571 - £25,927 per annum pro rata (which includes 2SCP for unsociable hours) plus sleep in allowance per night when required

 

Location: The Firs, Stafford

 

Contract & Working pattern: Permanent | 2 x 30 hours per week & 4 x 37 hours per week

 

About The Firs

 

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work in a brand new Children’s Home provision in Stafford. The Firs is a small residential home which will provide medium to long term residential support for up to 3 young people aged 11 – 18 years old. It will be a family centred environment that supports, nurtures and cares for young people giving them opportunities to learn, progress and explore new activities and ventures. This is an exciting opportunity for right person to join a new team to deliver a high-quality service.

 

The role

 

We need committed, vibrant, and highly motivated Residential workers to support young people in all areas of their lives. The role can be both challenging and rewarding and will require a high level of resilience and flexibility to be able to respond to the needs of the service.

 

What you’ll bring

 

You’ll need to have:

 

- Experience in working in a residential setting is desirable

 

- You must have NVQ/QCF level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent.

 

- A full driving licence

Please note on occasion in residential care there is a need to only accept applicants from a particular protected characteristic. As per the exceptions under the Equality Act 2010 there is an occupational requirement for this role to be fulfilled by someone aged 22 years or over. The reason being that we are legally required to ensure that anyone appointed is at least 4 years older than our oldest resident.
