Location: Stafford (flexible working)

 

Salary:  Grade 7 £23,953- £27,514

 

 

Working Pattern: 37 Hours per week | Full time | Part time | Flexible working – we’re happy to discuss options with you

 

 

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our supportive and values driven SEND team in this dynamic area of work.

 

 

 

Our role

 

 

 

The SEND Team is home to a range of professionals working toward improving outcomes for children, young people and their families. We have a specific focus on special educational needs, but our primary focus is on inclusion.

 

We work in a multi-disciplinary team of Educational Psychologists, Specialist Teachers, Specialist SEND Officers and Social Care Professionals. Our team is also well supported by specialist educational legal professionals.

 

As part of the SEND Team, you will provide invaluable case management support to enable the Council to discharge its responsibilities effectively in relation to statutory appeals to the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST), which is part of her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS).

 

 

 

Our work in the area of Tribunals and Appeals is challenging. However, we are a values driven team and believe that a key part of our work is to ensure that we are always focused on working together with families and schools as key partners to explore and develop solutions.

 

 

 

 

 

What you will bring

 

We are looking for a colleague who;

 

  • can demonstrate high levels of child and person-centred practice which focusses on achieving the very best outcomes for children, young people, and their families can demonstrate thorough and up to date knowledge of SEND education legislation, including the Children and Families Act (2014), SEND Code of Practice (2014) and Equality Act (2010) has exceptional written, inter-personal and communication skills is highly organised, and able to manage their work to meet deadlines

 

 

Above all, you will be a professional who is able to listen, hear the views of others, build relationships with key stakeholders, and find solutions.
