About us
Warwickshire County Council is in the process of expanding and recruiting to develop our capacity and improve provision and outcomes for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Through the SEND and Inclusion Change Programme, Warwickshire’s SEND Assessment and Review Service (SENDAR) is looking to complement our strong team with additional roles, team members and responsibilities. About the role
This is a new role created to support the work of our team of EHC Plan Coordinators. We are looking to recruit a new team of Assistant EHC Plan Coordinators to support children and young people in Warwickshire with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). This is to be achieved by assisting EHC plan coordinators in the implementation of Education, Health and Care (EHC) assessment, plan and review processes.
A key part of this role is improving communication and responsiveness to parents and carers and schools. We are seeking to appoint a team of full time permanent Assistant EHC Plan Coordinators.
Key skills and experiences
The new post holder will be able to work to statutory timescales, possess excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and have a willingness to work proactively with parents, families, young people, carers and other agencies to ensure that we enable engagement, understanding and participation within the Needs Assessment process.
