Pre-School Lead

The Local Academy Committee, Head of School and the Executive Principal are seeking to appoint a Pre-School Lead at Churchfield CE Primary Academy.

Children start their journey with us in our Little Scholars provision. This caters for our 2 year olds and prepares them for entry into our morning Nursery, where they learn as part of a mixed phased unit when opportunities arise, until they make the move up into our Reception class.  Children in receipt of 30 hours funding stay all day across the two provisions.  We have worked hard to create a family ethos, where the children feel safe and valued.

In our most recent Ofsted inspection, the inspectors found that:

‘’The early years provides a good start to school. Children are deeply engrossed in their learning because adults know how to interest and challenge them effectively. Adults are skilled in giving children time to think for themselves. There is a buzz of learning and the Nursery and Reception classrooms are a hive of activity’’.

This role will be a 33.75 hour/week position, Grade 6 SCP 9-15 initially a fixed term contract for one year with a view to becoming permanent. This role will involve carrying out tasks as outlined in the job description. This is a term time appointment and the WTE is 37hrs.
