Are you interested in working with young people? Do you have the skills to communicate with pupils and their families in our multi ethnic 11-16 school? As a Learning Development Manager with Kings Heath Boys School, you will be leading and managing the achievement, progress, well-being and pastoral provision for a year group of students.

You will need to be an energetic communicator with excellent engagement and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with young people, parent/carers, and professionals. You will be committed to enhancing the lives of children and young people. You will also need to be emotionally resilient and be able to maintain a professional relationship with those that we support.

We are looking for an experienced individual who possesses effective communication skills the role will involve the following:

• promotion of high expectations

• support of out of hours functions

• organisation and attendance at school trips

• coordination of parents’ evenings

• following up of non-attendance at parents’ evenings

• contributing towards the development of the school and community

A willingness to learn and an enthusiasm for working with young people are essential as well as an approachable and professional manner. A sense of humour is essential, as is the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment with many interruptions.

This post is covered by part 7 of the immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.
