About us and the role
Warwickshire County Council’s Adult and Community Learning is a dynamic, forward-looking adult education service, judged ‘Good’ by Ofsted. We provide a wide range of adult learning courses across the county. We are looking for inspirational tutors to join us on an hourly-paid basis to teach on our bespoke programme for learners with learning disabilities and/or learning difficulties.
We are seeking tutors in the following subject areas (but would be happy to hear from you if you teach in another subject area):
Music/Singing
Gardening Skills
Drama
Skill for Volunteering & Employment
Exercise & Fitness
Classes take place during the day, are typically two hours long and run for 35 weeks across the academic year. The current rate of pay is £17.39 per hour, with an additional one hour's preparation and marking time paid for every two hours of teaching.

You are likely to be an experienced teacher, with an ability to inspire your learners to achieve to the best of their abilities. You will need to have an innovative approach to teaching your subject and experience of working with learners with a range of abilities, learning disabilities and/ or learning difficulties. You must be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and to supporting the rights and aspirations of under-represented groups.
