27.5 Hours Per Week, Term Time only

Salary:  £12,139.34 - £12,377.60 (Depending on experience)

Fixed term for 1 year initially

Aqueduct Primary School is a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse primary school. We wish to appoint an excellent, experienced Level 3 teaching assistant to work in Reception who is committed to raising standards and developing an inspirational learning culture.

Although the position is in Reception, the successful candidate must be willing and able to work within any KS1 class as the needs of the school dictate.

To work in conjunction with the rest of the EY staff team to ensure high quality delivery of the new EYFS Framework

- To take responsibility for maintaining agreed areas of a well-resourced, attractive learning environment.

- To support the planning and delivery of learning activities to groups of children and individuals, including the RWI phonics programme. (Training will be provided for the successful candidate)

- To observe and assess children in order to plan for next steps in their learning and contribute maintaining pupil records.

- To build and maintain strong partnerships with parents to enable children’s needs to be met effectively.

- To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting, including safeguarding and confidentiality.

- To be flexible within working practices of the setting, undertaking other duties where needed, such as domestic tasks, preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, first aid, personal care etc.

- To attend where appropriate, staff training, after school meetings and educational trips.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
