About Us and The Role
We are OFSTED rated Good!
Warwick Safeguarding and Support Children's Team is high performing and outcome focused. We are committed to ensuring that Warwickshire’s children, young people, parents, and carers receive the right help at the right time. Restorative practice is at the heart of what we do; we are passionate about supporting communities and families to build on their strengths and relationships and find their own solutions.
As a team, we challenge ourselves to provide a timely service delivery to our children and families so that children's needs do not escalate - this mean working collaboratively with children and parents /carers to jointly identify care plans to keep child/ren safe. We have adopted the Pathway to Change Model to engage families to learn and develop - building on individual / family strengths and motivation to sustain positive change and to keep families together safely.
We value our partner agencies and work in close collaboration to ensure families benefit from a holistic safeguarding service and have access to the Spectrum of Support available across Warwickshire as well as networking with other local authorities to secure resources for children placed in Care outside of the County
We have a qualified Systemic Counsellor in the team who offers consultation, direct intervention and in the next couple of months will also be able to offer Family Therapy.
Our Systemic Practitioner also offers a monthly Reflective Space session for practitioners to have the opportunity to develop practice through solution focused discourse.
Newly Qualified Social workers have an assigned Principal Practitioner linked to the Children and Families Academy offering Group Supervision and Learning Sets.
We have access to a range of Edge of Care Services to prevent escalation of need, and to keep families together.
