An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work at the Speech and Language Base at Hob Green, for pupils of Primary school age with Speech, Language and Communication Needs.

Hours: 37 per week term time only / 39 weeks

Salary: Grade 7 (£25,419.00 - £28,226.00) + Special Needs Allowance

Location: Speech and Language Base at Hob Green Primary School

The successful candidate will require significant experience of working with mainstream primary children with Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN). Detailed knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum is required.

This is a specialist provision in a mainstream school for children with complex receptive, expressive or speech and language difficulties who require intensive speech and language therapy and specialist teaching.

The successful candidate will need to be patient, calm, a good communicator, confident in planning/delivering NC subjects, as well as in liaising with various outside agencies and parents. The successful candidate will also need to be an excellent problem solver with a “can do” attitude who is flexible, who can take the initiative as well as work within a team.
