Permanent, 32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks/term time only

We are a Multi Academy Trust comprising of six secondary schools and one primary school with over 750 employees and over 5,500 students, based in Dudley, West Midlands.

We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified, motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join us in our journey towards ‘Outstanding’. 

As a Cover Supervisor you will supervise whole classes during the absence of teachers. Cover Supervisors will give instructions for the lesson as provided by a teacher and the primary focus of the role will be to maintain good conduct in the classroom and to keep students on task. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

● Supervising pupils engaged in learning activities

● Act as a role model and set high expectations of conduct and behaviour

● Keep pupils on task and respond to general queries

● Providing feedback to teachers and record keeping, recording absence, etc.

Candidates should be organised, self-motivated and confident as well as being extremely good communicators with excellent interpersonal skills and good IT Skills.

The successful candidate will have a grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in both English and Maths and will preferably have experience of working with young adults.
