We are looking for an accomplished and capable HR & OD leader who can excel in the vital interface between organisational change and staff engagement. You'll play a central role in bringing about cultural change along with the structural and organisational design to improve the effectiveness in our ways of working. 

This role will suit someone who is naturally proactive and thrives on challenges and opportunities. It's important that you have the breadth of perspective and relationship skills to influence across the organisation at all levels which is supported by the professional expertise to offer expert technical advice when required.

Reporting to the Executive Director, you will drive the delivery of the HR Strategy and Workforce Plan to enable the Council to achieve its Corporate Strategy and Priorities. Leading the HR team, which includes Learning & Development and Payroll, you will play a vital role in enabling all we do to have a positive impact by ensuring good practice is a given, that fairness and equality are at the heart of everything we do.

You must be a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and have experience at senior level of delivering effective HR, Training, and/or Organisational Development services within a diverse organisation.
