Teaching Assistant (Level 3, Grade 4 scp 5-6) Salary range: £19,650 - £20,043

Actual salary: £7,346.30 - £7,493.22 

16 hours per week term time only 


HLTA (Level 4, Grade 7 scp 15-22) Salary range: £23,953 - £27,514 

Actual salary: £1,287.28 - £1,478.65 

2.3 hours per week term time only 

Required for September 2022

 Working pattern is: TA: 3 hours 10 minutes, Monday to Friday from 9.00 am to 12.10pm HLTA: 2 hours 20 minutes, Wednesday only 1.10pm to 3.30pm with a possibility of extra hours, as and when required. 


Needwood Church of England Primary School, a partner school in John Taylor Multi-Academy Trust, and a proud member of the Forest Family of schools, are seeking to appoint an outstanding practitioner as a Teaching Assistant across our classes, but predominantly with KS2. This also includes whole class, group and 1:1 work with some responsibility for individual children. The successful candidate will:

- have high expectations, 

 - support class, group and intervention based learning 

- ensure effective academic, social and emotional progress 

- liaise effectively with staff and parents
