Job Details

The school is an average sized primary school and our number on roll is currently 237 pupils and we have 9 classes.

The school demonstrates good practice in:

  • Governors providing leaders with effective support. They know the school well and use this knowledge to hold leaders effectively to account in order to improve the quality of education provided by the school.
  • Teachers and teaching assistants support pupils who have special educational needs and/or disabilities well. As a consequence, these pupils make good progress.
  • Pupils’ personal development and welfare are at the heart of the school’s work, which is outstanding in this area. Pupils know how to stay safe and be healthy.
  • Pupils behave well across the school. They are polite and courteous and show each other care and respect.

A vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated and proactive individual to fulfil the role of School Business Manager.

Hours: 37 per week, term time only (41 weeks)

Salary: Grade 8

We are looking for an exceptional individual for this pivotal role within the school leadership team.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent financial, literacy and I.T. skills and have the ability to lead a team effectively.

A relevant professional qualification such as CSBM is essential.

If you have attention to detail, are able to prioritise your workload, meet deadlines and inspire your team we would be keen to hear from you.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Budget management, monitoring and financial reporting experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work well under pressure delivering to tight deadlines.
  • A highly professional attitude demonstrating discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proven skills and abilities of successful leadership and managing staff.
  • Certificate of School Business Manager qualification.
  • Integrity, stamina and a sense of humour.
