Are you passionate about Transport? Do you want to be leading the operation and development of Telford’s Transport operation? If so, this is your opportunity to be at the forefront of delivering and modernising the service.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Telford & Wrekin Council’s Strategic Transport service and, playing a proactive role in delivering transport across the Borough.

You’ll lead a newly formed Passenger Transport team, delivering many aspects of transport within the authority, such as adult social care transport and school transport. You will oversee the day to day operation of both commissioned and in house services, managing a large internal workforce as well as a wider range of contracts.

We are looking for candidates with experience of providing passenger transport in a complex and varied environment. Candidates should possess a thorough understanding of current and emerging national transport policy, operations, business transformation as well as project management skills that enable you to deliver within agreed budget and timescales, excel in partnership working and relationship building whilst managing a busy and diverse workload.

Telford a new town has its roots in the 1960s but this doesn’t mean we’re stuck in the past. Over the last 50 years the town has grown and developed into a hub of innovation and investment.
