The Governors of Baginton Fields School are seeking to appoint 2 committed and motivated Apprentice Teaching Assistants who have a genuine interest in providing quality education and care at this broad spectrum special school for secondary aged students. The positions include:
• Assisting the teacher to secure achievement and progress in the curriculum for all students.
• Proactively assess, record and report on student progress under the direction of the teacher.
• Establishing constructive relationships with students providing feedback to them in relation to progress and achievement as directed.
• Responding to the personal care needs of students in a manner that conveys dignity and respect.
The role involves the successful applicants working closely with secondary aged students with a wide range of learning needs. Candidates should be enthusiastic, proactive, flexible and demonstrate the ability to problem solve and apply initiative. The capacity to contribute to a team approach is vital to the role. In return you can expect to be well supported throughout your apprenticeship by a team of motivated professionals.
