Job Details
Education and Employment Support Worker
37 hours per week - 18 months fixed term
Scale 5, £23,023 - £24,920 per annum
The Employment Advisory Support Team is part of Telford & Wrekin Council’s Job Box offer and provides a supported employment service for people with long term health conditions and significant barriers. We support people with a range of diagnosis from Learning disability, Asperger's, Autism and Mental Ill Health.
We provide a 1-2-1 service for customers to support them to achieve their individual education and employment goals regardless of how long that journey may take, we use a person centred approach. We are members of the British Association of Supported Employment.
Advisors will manage a case load of approximately 20 – 25 customers whom they will meet in various locations across the borough. Meetings will be based on reviewing and updating actions plans to support the customer to focus on progression towards their goal. We work closely with local employers to develop relationships and source work placements/ job trials and paid employment for customers.
