We are looking for a full time recruitment support worker to enable the recruitment of foster carers to continue and increase the number of Foster Carers for the department Responsible for:

Implementation of the Fostering recruitment strategy and to be responsible for targeted recruitment to meet the specialist need within the Service, which is in line with the Corporate Care Placement Strategy.

All fostering enquiries made to the service via website, telephone calls and office visits. To organise and represent the local authority at a range of recruitment and marketing events within the Council and across the County. Ensuring accurate information and clear communications are available in relation to the recruitment of Foster Carers.

To carry a case load of prospective applicants up to training and assessment stages of up to 30 to 40 enquiries at any given time.

The Fostering team is expanding and this is an exciting opportunity to join a stable and experienced fostering service in Herefordshire. The fostering service is supported by a dedicated recruitment support officer who is motivated, engaging and able to promote the rewarding world of fostering. We work closely with Herefordshire Intensive Placement Support Team to offer carers consultation with a Childrens psychologist and lead therapeutic workers.

We are a proud and committed service, striving towards consistently ensuring our team provides sufficient placements of diverse and high quality support to our children. Your role will be to recruit and support dedicated and diverse foster carers for Hereford to meet the varied needs of Herefordshire children. We aim to raise awareness of therapeutic models and PACE with foster carers.

To date Herefordshire Fostering service has been able to develop a range of specialist schemes and will continue to support your own professional development. There is potential to develop special areas of interest and training modules. We are committed to high standards of care and support in the fostering service for foster carers and children for this reason , it is an exciting opportunity to join our team.
