THE ROLE 

Finance and Customer Service Assistant

37 hours per week (2 part time roles will be considered)

Salary up to £22,571 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Finance and Customer Service Assistant to join our Client Services team based in Pershore.

You will act as a point of contact with the public on all matters relating to waste, recycling, public toilets, and street cleansing. You will also provide advice, record complaints, and help with queries, whilst liaising with contractors to help seek a resolution to any complaints and incidents. A passion for delivering great customer service is therefore essential!

The role also has responsibility for all financial aspects of the chargeable services. Previous experience of monitoring financial and purchasing systems, raising invoices, creating accounts for customers, checking background to monthly contractor`s invoice for payment ,purchase orders and taking ad hoc payments, is required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will have:

  • A good educational background including a good level of numeracy and literacy
  • ECDL or any formal IT qualifications relating to Microsoft applications (desirable).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

The successful candidate will need:

  • Experience of providing administrative support
  • Experience of liaising with members of the public and contractors in a professional capacity
  • Telephone and email customer service experience
  • Experience of raising purchase orders, taking ad hoc payments , raising new accounts and checking  invoices are accurate and coding up for payment.
  • Experience of using financial applications – e. g CIVICA Financials
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and in particular Microsoft Excel
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with an ability to remain calm under pressure
