We are currently recruiting for a Head of Planning and Building Control. 

This is an exciting time for the Council, with a variety of projects taking place, including work on the Local Plan and major projects for Transforming Nuneaton and Bedworth.  We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual, who is motivated and confident and can lead the team in making key strategic decisions. 

The varied role will involve Partnership working and representing the Council with a range of public, private and voluntary sector organisations across the West Midlands.We are seeking an experienced Planner to head up out Development Management, Planning Enforcement and Policy Teams and to manage the external Building Control contract. 

You will provide leadership and management of technical, administrative and professional staff so strong inter-personal skills are essential as is a widespread knowledge of Town Planning and associated legislation. You will also have excellent communication skills and you should be RTPI qualified.
