Job Details

Hawbush Primary School is a thriving one form entry primary school that is moving at rapid pace towards being a school with aims for everyone to ‘live our dreams and be exceptional’.

We are situated in a purpose-built school building with outstanding facilities in the middle of the Hawbush estate within the Dudley borough. Our pupils join us from age 2 in Time for Twos and progress up to the age of 11 in Year 6. We also have a purpose built SEMH provision on site for pupils with an EHCP with a primary need of social, emotional and mental health difficulties.

The Governors and Head Teacher of Hawbush Primary School and Maple Tree SEMH Provision are seeking to recruit a dedicated and ambitious Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional EHCP or SEMH needs.

Contract: 30 hours per week, term time only

Hours:  8:30am to 3:30pm (1 hour lunch)

Basis: Fixed term until 31/03/2023 in the first instance

Salary: Grade:  3

Start Date:  01/09/2022

Whilst this role will initially be working with a child in Year 2, candidates should be prepared to work within any year group.

The post holder will therefore need to be flexible and willing to work across the school, although individual strengths will always be taken into account.

For informal discussions with the school about the role, please contact the Head Teacher's PA - Mrs Turley via BTurley@hawbush.dudley.sch.uk or by telephone on (01384) 816930 to arrange a conversation or visit.

Hawbush Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable groups and equal opportunities. We expect all staff, governors and volunteers to share this commitment. The post is therefore subject to medical clearance and an enhanced DBS check.

Closing date: 01/07/2022 at 3:30pm

Interviews: w/c 04/07/2022
