The postholder will report to one of the teams Permit Team Leaders. As part of their day-to-day duties, they will assess applications, promote coordination through negotiation with external stakeholders, apply permit conditions to applications and ultimately approve or reject streetworks permits.  They will work closely with the Network Inspectors to ensure that Works Promoters are adhering to their permit conditions and ensure the effective operation of Birmingham’s Permit Scheme.

There is a clear vision which is ensuring that the Council is working for communities today and building for tomorrow, we focus our resources on five key priorities:

  • A Prosperous Birmingham: through a focus on inclusive economic growth, tackling unemployment, attracting inward investment, and maximising the benefits of the Commonwealth Games.
